Al Benson - 50+ YEARS EXPERIENCE

Al Benson has lived in San Diego since 1955 when he retired from the Navy having served aboard the U.S.S. Bexar (APA 237) as a Hospital Corpsman during the Korean conflict. Once in San Diego he earned his Bachelors Degree in education and taught in the San Diego City School District where he helped develop the gifted program. He then started a company called Aero Awning & Manufacturing Co.

Aero Awning opened it's doors in 1960 and for a decade; manufactured and installed patio screen rooms, patio covers and aluminum window awnings that were popular for that time. When Al's partners passed and the business was closed he then worked as G.M. with various national solar companies and a local window and door manufacturing company until 1990 when he once again started a new business. This time: Jackson Stone & Patio in El Cajon as equal partner with Fred Jackson.

JSP won 4 regional BBB Torch Awards plus a National Award from the SBC yellow pages. With the retirement of his partner: Mr. Jackson the business was sold and Al once again did what he loved and started another business. This time reverting back ( out of respect) to the "Aero" name he knew so well: Aero Patio & Home Improvements, Inc. is located in Lemon Grove and services all of San Diego County. Steve Kinsman - 30+ YEARS EXPERIENCE
Aero Patio & Home Improvement Inc. General Manager

Steve was born in La Mesa in 1960 and started honing his work ethic at the young age of only 14 thru an assistant's maintenance job in a Mobile Home Park working 30 hours a week. By age of 17 he was working full time as a mechanic and quikly realized that was not the path for him at which time he changed direction and started working for a friend in the local home improvement field building patio rooms, covers, decking and roofing.

At the age of 20 he formed a wholesale builder's supply company with a partner in Santee that sold building supplies and materials to contractors. During a 12 year span he had also acquired a small cabinet shop and worked several years building and installing commercial and residential cabinetry.

Steve later accepted a position as the San Diego Distribution Center Manager of one of the largest manufactures of sunrooms and patio covers in the country where for the next 11 years he continued to service and assist the many contractors that were his customers. It was during this period that Steve and Al met each other and became fast friends, unknowing that they would later become business partners and open Aero Patio and Home Improvement Inc. together, a formidible team with the added bonus of Steve's son Michael who himself had already in his young life, much experience in the home improvement industry. This formidable team works together to asssure their customer's happiness.

Michael Kinsman - 20+ YEARS EXPERIENCE
Aero Patio & Home Improvement Inc. Project Manager

Michael was born in Lakeside in 1982 when his father owned a wholesale builder's supply company and has lived his entire life in east county San Diego. As a small boy Michael would accompany his father on job sites where he began learning how to handle the tools he would later use in life. As he grew and worked with his father he gained skills and familiarity with the San Diego home improvement industry. At 16 while still in school he was hired by a local lumber yard and apprenticed on weekends with a number of installers in the industry, learning from each whatever he could.

By the age of 20 Mike had logged nearly as much time in the field as most professional installers and had begun installing patio rooms and building covers himself. However, young and headstrong and desiring to strike out on his own, he spent the next seven years working with a painting contractor where he learned the art of drywall and molding then later with a large electrical company where he learned electrical by working on both commercial and residential properties.

Today Mike is in his early 30's, he still lives in east county and is now a father himself with a wonderful new son. Michael continues to work with his father in Aero Patio and Home Improvement Inc. doing that which he does best. His strong work ethic combined with his life long experience in the field gives him the expertise and craftsmanship for the highest quality of work and understanding that to work closely with each client assures him each job is finished to the satisfaction of a happy customer

Three individuals lay the foundation of Aero Patio & Home Improvement Inc. of San Diego, California. Each three have life long experience in their chosen field within San Diego County and strive daily together to build their company thru one happy San Diego customer at a time.
